New Baby, How To Make Her Feel Comfortable

I have a new baby 11 months old and she is very very overwhelmed with the other kids. Very upset, crying, hard to calm. I feel bad for my other 7 dcks because my attention is so focused on her. I know it's just a faze but does anyone have any tips on dealing with it. She is only semi calm when holding her or up in my arms other then that she is crying and very hard time to calm down.

Do you have an Exersaucer or something you could place her in so she can see the other kids, but feel safe. I would keep her far away from the others, but where she can still see them. Once she gets use to the noise and activity move her closer. I think at that age they are easily overwhelmed, and need lots of reassurance that they are ok.

I agree with the pp about the excersaucer. Also try adding soft music near that to dull the noise a bit. Slowly ween the music and move the baby closer as days go by.
