Sorry, I forgot other places actually get snow. YES! Snowman, snow angels, put paint and water in a spray bottle and paint the snow, etc.

It torments me.I have a parent who waits at least 15 min in the driveway. We are in the porch ready with coats on reading. Then she comes in and has to visit...Just go I have been working 10 hrs .I put a stop to cell phone use on property.in my handbook it says finish your call and if you are late -late fee applies.I also have walked a child to car put them in seat said by and shut the car door.Enough is enough. I would tell the parent not to pull in until he is ready to come in.

        I tried that

I've been outside with him when dad pulls up and he still talks on his phone so we sat on the steps for freaking ten minutes the kid kept pointing and saying daddy. Some people are just plain rude.

No need to be passive aggressive with this guy... it's clear he needs the direct approach. Knock on his car window and hand off his child. Also, tell him to stop pulling in if he's not ready to pick up. Some people need everything spelled out.

Yep, seems like he needs the more direct approach then. Some people are just too dense(or selfish).

I purposely rearranged my room so the children can not see out the front window. I put my office area in front of the window.

It really does bother me when parents sit out front waiting until the last second they can leave their child here. Like some others have said, I also began walking the children of those parents out to them when I would see them parked out front for too long. I just don't understand parents sometimes. They jump at the chance to get off work early. Don't they think we'd like to get off work early every once in a while too? And for the parents of the children who can see them through the window, don't they realize and/or care that their child's in the house excited to see them?
