I have a place for infant carriers/car seats...I only have 2 brought in right now for the infants, and I have a bench they place them on...I provider care for many families in the medical profession and since I close at 4:30, the parents are not who picks up.. Once the child outgrows the infant seat, I rarely have anyone bring in the next size....Don't know why, guess it is just easier to provide bigger carseats for the pick up person???
Do your parents of infants...

I hear you on this. I have one mom (child is 3 1/2 now ) but he is a big baby, Built like a solid brick. I don't know if it's because mom is about a foot shorter than me (I'm 5'8) but she used to come in and out with that carrier like she was gonna fall over. She would heft him out of there and tell me that he still hasn't reached the height or weight limits (whichever it was). I think he was 18 months when she finally bought him a convertible seat. I would just smile and nodd and bite my tongue so as not to say anything! To this day I will never understand why she didn't just leave the seat in the car.

I don't allow parents to carry their infants in using car seats.
Mostly for that reason. I also want NO part of how they buckle them in or install the car seat.
The car seat stays in the car at ALL times.
I think trying to juggle those bulky heavy seats creates more issues than not.
My door frame and my door have dings and dents and I worry about the moms/dads carrying them down the steps in the winter etc.
Parents must remove their child from the seat BEFORE entering my home.
Solves my issues.... I also explain that the carseat can goes so many places that it can harbor gems from a gym or carry hitchhiking bugs from someones house; I don't need those issues... For safety & space issues carseats are not allowed to be left here either, not even on the front porch
