I just buy the carbonless duplicate ones at Walmart. I get the cheap, little one. I do it for my own protection more than the parents. In Jan, I zip through my books (one for each family) and there is my total. I print off the total and my EIN and give it to each family. I do 2 copies and make them sign both. One for them, one for my records.

For my parents that pay by square, I just have to pull up the monthly accounts year end and print it off for each family. they can't come back and say they paid more or I am missing a payment because unless the square app messed up somehow, nothing is lost... plus if they use the same card all the time to swipe, the app remembers the email or phone # the receipt was sent to also.

I record there payment but I don't give receipts unless they ask. They don't want to keep up with all the paper. I do give receipts to one client because she gets subsidy from work. Your not dense at all!

Same here. I do give them an end of year statement for taxes. But, I don't give weekly/monthly statements, unless the parent requests it.

I give parents a receipt each and every time they pay. (whether payment is electronic, check or cash)

              Including late fees.

I give a receipt for ANY payment made to me AT the time of payment.

I never do and this is why...
I use childcarepay.com and they can easily review their payments themselves.
