Block someone???? How absurd! I'm nosy and might miss something.

      I'm not. I know I'm awesome.

      HA HAAAAA!

Edited to add: I know I irritate a lot of people in my life since I am also extremely blunt. I am constantly working on my social skills and trying to improve...often imitating those that I think have what I wish I did. Sometimes, though, my Aspie bluntness just comes right on out and while I think everyone appreciates that I am being honest and to the point...most people do not. I am working on not apologizing as often as I used to, though, since the people that KNOW me know that this is how I am and I am not saying anything to hurt another's feelings. I actually get quite embarrassed when I learn that I have hurt someone's feelings.

Don't worry, entropy! It's not you! I think you're great, for the record. I truly appreciate your honesty.

To end everyone's curiosity, it's me that she wanted to block. And maybe one other... Who i won't call out by name.

And I'm totally fine with it. We never did click. I think this was the wrong platform in which to do it, but maybe that's just me. I think it should've been handled privately via PM to a moderator. She's been here plenty long enough to know who the moderators are. I think she just wanted me to know that she was blocking me.

But like I said, no hard feelings! Block away! I guess some people just need more control over their online environment than others. I like diverse opinions, she doesn't. It's not right or wrong, just a personality difference and I'm cool with that.

Kid, if you unblock me and see this post, just know that you haven't hurt my feelings and my day will not be any darker. I mean absolutely no offense or have any ill intentions. I enjoyed your input, but also understand that I can be opinionated and a little much to handle sometimes.

So I will avoid your posts/threads in the future. I won't be blocking you for the reasons I stated above. But I will steer clear. :-) Truly, no hard feelings at all from me.

I can only speak for myself so this isn't something I think Kid or anyone would think....

I don't read usernames when I read posts. I never have or will. Once I read a post and if it stands out to me as something REALLY brilliant or something not so brilliant, I look up to see the username. If it's anywhere in the middle I don't see who wrote it.

So if a name keeps coming up and the content is something that I find ficticious or having motives I can't adrress... then I have to block. It's only happened twice so my threshold is very high.

I never want to have preconceived notions or history when I read posts. With brilliant, I want a future so I look. With the other end of the spectrum, I don't want to invest in the present or future.

          Just my own way.

For someone who agrees that this should have been handled privately, why would you post this?

If a member (KidGrind in particular) chooses to block someone, it's HER business to tell others who it is.

If she wanted to satisfy everyone's curiosity about who it was that she blocked, SHE would have posted it publically instead of PM'ing you privately.

Since I know no one can block me as admin , and as much as I like to see people conversing , I expect this forum to be of a professional "childcare" relate nature . Other conversations can be handled through your Facebook or twitter account. I really don't want the drama creeping in here .

Also, I am surprised no one has used the new :dislike: button I've created.

Respectfully, as the blocked person, I believe that makes it my business also. I think this thread has been very informative and fun, and for the most part, civil and cordial. I was afraid it would go downhill and I'm so glad it didn't.

Now I am quoting myself....it did work so disregard my last post. I wouldn't mind if people blocked me bc my last post was a Lil embarrassing. Hehe.

Thanks for letting me know. I just changed the permissions on the server. Let me know it that works. I can see the :dislike: icon because I am the Admin and have Admin permissions. doh
