I have used this one. Very easy to set up and break down. The bottom of it isn't like a pack-n-play, with a hard floor-it is a thin, canvas type material. It would be appropriate for indoors or outdoors on grass.

That is the main thing I'm looking for. The big bulky plastic ones are a huge pain in the butt.

It's cute for sure but I see a couple issues right off...

It seems the "X" thing-ys would be more time consuming to fold up and put away than your standard PNP...unless they have figured out a way to do it easily with one hand or one motion verses having to "release" each "X" individually.

I also see an issue with an older child that can stand. Those "X" things look like the PERFECT thing to hook your toe in and climb out or over the sides.

I would also be concerned about the "X" construction being a pinching hazard.

I have never seen or used this PNP so I have no idea how it goes up or down but those were my first thoughts upon seeing it.

There is no way I could get that approved for infant sleep, but it may work for a safe outdoor play space. It's cute. Does it have a carry case for the playground? (nevermind, just clicked the link. perfect carry case)

I'm looking at it as a place to put my twin one year old niece and nephew when I watch them. For times when I have to go to the bathroom or attend to their older brother. Not as a crib. It's meant to be a play yard like the plastic ones that snap together. I have one of those but cannot stand it.

It appears perfect for that. lovethis Campers dream gear..

I also scrolled the page at amazon and saw the folding camp highchairs and excersaucer type infant standing/jump pods. Not fair!

Where was all this cool compact stuff when I had 3 kids of my own in diapers??

LOL! Everything from the days of our children being tiny is now super-compact and convenient. Except car seats, those seem to be 5 times bigger
