I went 3 years without one then had 4 in one year. Then after that I've had 2 every year.

Sooo inconsistent. Good news is that I've passed every single one.
    Very inconsistent.

When I was first licensed, I had my original inspection and 1 unannounced (she called to see if I was still doing daycare) 5 yrs later.

I had another inspection when I moved here and the analyst realized that she didn't do her job. I contacted them when we put a deposit on the house, when we knew we were going to close escrow, and again when we moved. Funny how she said I didn't notify her in advance, but she had my new phone number and address. I had dates and times written down as to when I notified her. She told me I had to shut down and I told her I wouldn't do it. She came out the very next day and poked through every single drawer and cabinet in my house.

I shut down for 4 yrs and reopened exactly 4 yrs ago in August. I had my initial inspection, one 8/12, and the one yesterday. So 3 times in 4 years. My analyst said he inspects at least every 2 years but is trying to inspect yearly.

wow that is crazy.... I wish they would just find a system that works and all agree to it. I had 3 inspections back to back right around the time that I was moving a few weeks ago. She said she was coming out for my annual visit, which I had to laugh because since moving upstate I have never had an annual visit. THen she said she came back again to make sure that I had the painters move all of the ladders and what not even though they were in an off limits daycare area. 3rd time was to inspect the new house.

HOlly cow I feel Like I know all of them by first name right now.....which I guess could be good in the long run.

        moving with daycare stinks

My moving 9 yrs ago was super easy because my analyst didn't follow the rules. I called to say we were buying a new house. I called to say we had a date for escrow and gave her our new address and phone number. I called to say we moved. Never once did she say that I had to redo all of my paperwork, never once did she make an appt for an inspection. It wasn't until we had lived here for a month that she called freaking out.

Wow that's crazy. Wonder if she got in trouble for that.

It was pure you know what when I had to move.

Part of me is jealous. Lol.
