My favorite dck left unexpectedly when Mom went PT at her job and returned to school full time. The college offered free daycare/income based and she took it. I cried my eyes out when he left, and so did Mom.
She sent me an email saying DCK wasn't adjusting well, crying and screaming, tantrums there, spitting, you name it. (He's almost 4, happy go lucky, laid back, independent, smart and sooo sweet). I gave her some suggestions, she tried to work with the teacher and director, and they did meet her halfway but he still wasn't doing well. Potty accidents at home and at daycare, and the last straw was when he told her Friday he didn't want to go back there, he hated the teacher, and he missed preschool with ME!
She pulled him, and is bringing him back to me! I only have a PT space I wasn't even trying to fill, but she's finding somewhere else PT for the opposite days until I have the FT availability. She's even willing to go back to work FT
I'm so sorry he had such a rough go of it, but I'm so happy he's coming back- even PT. My kids all cheered at the news, dh was happy because he enjoys dck, and the other daycare kids will be so happy, too.
