my Friday funny - he's lucky I'm honest

It was one of my DCB's last day yesterday as he is going to JK. No thank you's or goodbyes, at pick up, but whatever. They live across the street and I'll see the boy all the time, but the gesture would have been appreciated after 2 years of dealing with their crazy schedule and lacsidasical attitude.

He tells me he'll be by to drop off final payment (they are my only family that pays after the fact and I've never had a problem) later. I usually get it at some point over the weekend, so I don't wait around. My H pulls in after work this evening and finds a bunch of $20 bills stick between the two doors of my van. Who does that??? So I text him and ask him if it was him, thinking he might have sent one of his older kids over to pay me, and they lacked the common sense not to do that. Nope, it was him, because " I didn't answer the door". He didn't even send me something to let me know it was there. It was sitting there for hours!!! Someone could have taken it, it could have blown away, I could have missed it the next time I went out and it could have fallen out.

So disrespectful that it's funny, and the very last thing in aloooong list of nonsense I've had to put up with from this family. happyface

            Geez, that's a first.
What would've happened if someone else had found the $ first and you never got it? Would he have refused to pay? Good grief!

One of my daycare parents pays MONTHLY for FT care in CASH and once left it in my mailbox on a Friday am when dck was out sick. No text, nothing.

My mailman brought it to the door later that day! It absolutely would have been he said/she said if I never got it and had to send a payment reminder.

That's the main reason I no longer accept payment when I'm closed. I had a DCD show up on a Saturday (he just came right in to my house!!! on a SATURDAY... ) in the middle of my child's birthday party!!!!

So I took the money and say bye. Later when I counted it, it was short.

I gave him a stern talking to and changed my policy.

                You must feel so relieved!!
