We wrote a Rules Poem for our wall

Last night we came up with the 10 daycare rules and put them into a poem to be written on poster board and placed on our wall. Thought I would type it out here and see what everyone thinks. Do you think the children will like this and it will make sense to the older group?

So here are some of our daycare rules
Please listen carefully as these are good tools.
No hitting or kicking or pushing our friends
Because this causes timeouts in the end.
No running and jumping for it shakes the house
Absolutely no biting! Be nice with your mouth!
Please share our toys and take your turn
Please and thank you are a good thing to learn.
Be nice to our books and take care of our toys
So all things can be enjoyed by each girl and boy.
Remember to turn on your listening ears
And use your indoor voices so quietly while here.
Obey all the rules and have a good time.
When we're all playing nicely, the day turns out fine!

    That is very cute!
I love writing poems and pretending Dr. Suess with the kids.

Think the parents will get a kick out of it. Sometimes the parents seem to be more ok with the gentle approach vs. the stern when it comes to setting limits.
