New dcp's - no paperwork, start the 18th

Horrible title, sorry. I have promised an infant spot to a couple who really wanted it. I only take 1 infant at a time, so that spot is in high demand around here.

The couple were really excited; dcm is on extended maternity leave until Aug 18. She ended up getting 12 weeks off.

I don't require a deposit, nor do I want to. But I messed up here. Somehow I lost their contact info and I had told them - 3 weeks ago, that it was fine to drop the paperwork off at any time.

So now I'm getting close to Aug 18 and I haven't heard from them. I have my next in line that wants the spot, and they need to know by Wednesday, Aug 13th.

I'm not trying to borrow trouble, but if I don't hear from the first couple by Wed, what would you do?

I can't remember her or his last name for the life of me. I have 4 new ones that started/are in the process of starting right now, so I was a little careless while interviewing. I interviewed 15 families for these spots. It was an exhausting few weeks!

See I have a contact me page on my website that asks for name # and address... when I get it, I automatically send it to my waitlist files in the emails once I call them; I check the file minimum every 2 weeks because I know different mom's are due at different time ( most my parents are expecting moms)... that way I know I don't lose hard copies . I also can match up past calls with the phone #'s on my cell... I can figure who is who by date called
