    Hmmm...

Just noticed that I hadn't seen nor heard from DD in about 20 minutes (yeah, I know, I'm terrible, I let my own daughter go wherever she wants in her own house without supervision). I went to find her and lo and behold, she's in her bed, fast asleep.

Um, it's 9 AM. She's *never* done something like this before. The Mommy Alert level just went to yellow...
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!

There are some nasty things going around. I hope she doesn't get sick.

You are not terrible. I'm the exact same way with my own kids and have been since they could navigate the stairs up and down =) 'Course my youngest is about to turn 5, but he's had free reign of my house since he was 1.5 years old. I used to find him asleep in the oddest spots too! Under the coffee table, in a closet that he turned into a nest etc, under my bed, in our giant toy box filled with stuffed animals (that one was my fav!).

DC kids...now that's a different story. They are limited to one or two rooms. If they start misbehaving in the living room, they are limited to the computer/family room right next to me!

Too cute SliverSabre. I hope she was just extra tired and all will be well when she wakes. I think that if we all could just take nap whenever we felt run down or extra tired we could avoid a lot of illness. Rest helps the body heal itself and she is listening to her body and being proactive.

MN Mom, I am also in the group that lets my kids have free reign of the house. Dck are allowed on the main level only and will be further limited to just the playroom if they don't follow the living room rules.
