Off Topic-Daycare Mom with Breast Cancer

The mom of the baby I care for has breast cancer and is having a double mastectomy today. I'd like to send her a little something to show my support and cheer her up. The obvious would be flowers but I'd like something she can really use. Any ideas?

I woudl send her gift cards to restaurants that deliver. That way if she doesn't feel like cooking, she can call and order dinner and have it delivered.

Great idea. I am thinking of putting together a gift basket and that would make a great contribution.

I think it's awesome that you're doing that for her. I'm sure she'll appreciate it.

Chemo makes skin hurt. Maybe throw in some nice body butter. I made some for my aunt when she was going through chemo. Essential oil and coconut oil. Threw it in a blender to whip and packed it in a mason jar.

A snuggie. She will be really tired and not feeling so great. The snuggie keeps them nice and warm while laying around and when they walk from room to room or for car rides.

When my good friend was going through chemo I brought the family dinner every Friday night and some other friends brought them dinners as well.

Yes, and also lip balm, and maybe some chamomile or mint tea.

one of my Dcms had cancer. I let her set up times to use my whirlpool tub. Sometimes she used it alone and sometimes with her child. I always put out really soft towels and had quiet music playing too.
