    Seeing Double

This May we will have two openings, and then two more openings in August.

For the May openings we have a referral for twins, and just received another referral for twins for the August openings.

Now it sounds overwhelming at first, but the May twins will be 5 months when they start, and the August twins will be 7 months when they start (and the older set of twins will be 8 months at that point). So they are a little older, not like caring for multiple VERY young infants.

If anyone recalls we are shifting our program toward a younger group. So this would fill all of our openings. But really, what are the odds - two sets of twins ?!?

WOW! That is crazy! My family is full of (natural) multiples, we have a set of twins and a set of triplets in the cousins at the moment. Too bad they live far apart!

Sounds like young was the way to go and all of your openings will be full!

How neat ! I hardly ever hear of triplets. I think that because twins are rather common naturally, and then quads are (certainly not common) but occur more with fertility treatments, that triplets are kind of the odd man out. Not that quads are all that common, but with fertility treatments they feel more common than the rareness of having naturally high order multiples. I am doing a horrible job at explaining myself right now. ::

We have never had twins in care before. We had a DCG who had a new set of twins siblings, but they decided to have grandma care for them before they ever started with us.

In the past two years, I have had 4 friends have twins. There was also a set of quads in our community. I feel like everyone is having multiples !
