Event Ideas?

This Thursday our local celebrity clown is coming to do a show on tooth brushing. She will be handing out tooth brushes. I have printed her tooth brushing coloring page from the website. I would really like to make a day of it. Anyone have any ideas to go along with what we're already doing?

Like a real clown with a wig and makeup???? That's my worst nightmare. There's nothing worse to me then clowns. Are you sure the kids won't be scared?

When we talk about brushing teeth we always stain some hard boiled eggs ahead of time and then have the children brush the stains off. We do one in soda, one in water, one in coffee and one in tea. Then I get an additional egg that has not been hard boiled and put it in vinegar. I tell the kids the vinegar is "sugar water." Most of the "teeth" eggs turn out stained and the vinegar egg turns out really squishy. My kids still talk about it to this day! I would probably start it tomorrow so they get adequately stained/squishy .

I just thought of another thing. Since it is a clown coming, you might check out the dollar store for some of those goofy gag teeth that look horrible. Last year I found cases with 3 in each set so it only ended up costing me $2.

Don't know your feeling on marshmallows but you can take two slices of Apple's put peanut butter on it and stick the mini marshmallow on it and make it look like teeth.

Or maybe take an egg carton and cut it down the middle flipp it upside down paint the pointed parts white for teeth and bottom red for gums and put stuff in the middle of the teeth and give them string or yarn to floss it out....
