The regional zoo I live by (Santa Barbara) has 2 babies. They are so darn cute. It has been fun watching the whole process. Mama's get bigger, the zoo changing the habitat for the birth and then seeing the babies. The kids really like going.

I love Giraffes so much! At our Zoo, you can even feed them( for a fee)

San Diego is 2 hours away but I just took my DD on the train and got to see them. Pretty amazing

I actually witnessed a live giraffe birth before at the St. Louis zoo. My hubby and I were looking at the giraffes when I noticed something sticking out the rear end of one. Upon closer looking it was a foot! No one was around so we told the workers and over the course of a couple of hours a ton of people came and were watching and the mom delivered the baby. It fell to the ground with a thud and within a couple of minutes was up walking. They named her Gigi.
