So, first post! Although Ive been reading for a while! So, here's what's going on. I have a small, legally unlicensed family childcare. I have been doing this for 2 years now and because I keep the group small, I haven't really needed help (although some days I wish I had it!
). However, I broke my wrist yesterday and cannot afford to take 4-5 weeks off while it heals but I'm a little overwhelmed at how I'm going to care for 2 nine month olds and my 2.5 year old son. I wouldn't need someone all day, just a few hours would be a huge help. I'm also pregnant and getting close to the 3rd trimester aka 2 week appointments, plus appointments for my wrist, then the birth, then baby check ups...it's a lot for families! A sub/helper could be a great thing to have for me and the dcf's. How do I do this though? What do I pay them? I don't mind if they have children that they bring but does that change how much to pay them? How do you ensure a good/reliable person when you can't offer regular hours or income?
