Letter to Parents

I have a mother who is trying to get out of paying for both of her childrens tuition because they "apart of one family". I also have a mom who is not bring her child and not paying me which is against my contract. So I was thinking of putting this in my letter to my parents.

"The current rates of $100 for full time care and $75 for school aged children and part time care will remain the same until the end of the school year. As per the contract rates are per spot and not per attendance. Since we have limited spots for children every spot your family uses needs to be paid for and no special rates or discounts will be provided."

the reason I haven't talked to the second mom in person is becasue I haven't seen her ( she didn't come last week and grandma always picks up and drops off.)

I would add some stipulations regarding no show/no pay so that parents forfeit their spot if they do not pay after a certain amount of days (I would give one week and then term). I would also add a stipulation that tuition must be paid in full to continue care. Partial payments are not acceptable and after X amount of days, daycare spots will be forfeited due to incomplete payment. Lastly, rates are not negotiable after the contract has been signed and enrollment has begun.

You can be nice and write a letter and hand it to grandma and say we have a problem with tuition please give this to mom and have her call me.

Or you can meet Grandma at the door and say I am sorry I can not accept dcg until tuition is paid. She may say how much and pay it for dcm.

I would do the first and then refuse care later.

Call mom if she will answer the phone and tell her how much she still owes you. When she hands a check that is short you need to say I am sorry you made a mistake weekly tuition is -----. If you accepted checks for less before you may just need to start fresh but I would not wait until next week she owes full rate for this week

Im going through a similar issue with a new parent. They are taking a week and half off. Won't be back until after NYears. Sent home TWO reminders. After the 1st one dad spoke with me. Told him yes, Im open. They have to pay. No payment before they left. I sent home a reminder on Friday AGAIN....no payment Monday, late fees will apply. She called Friday night but never left a message. No show so far. She is going to have a huge bill by the time she returns...if she returns. I have an interview this week. Kind of over them.

I would do as itlw said. Stop at door and say "No pay no come" But Ive been doing this a long time. I have little patience anymore for this stuff! LOL
