    Christmas Goodies-Sharing Recipes?

Would anyone be interested in sharing some of the recipes for their most-loved goodies they make for Christmas?
After seeing a plateful of Spud's yummies, I'm thinking oooh I wish I knew how to make those.

All my baking is given as gifts. I live on my own and don't entertain. I'm keeping it simple this year. I'm making:

What makes snickerdoodles so, well, snickerdoodley? Its distinctive crackling and cinnamon-sugar topping make it a standout cookie treat. Don’t forget to include cream of tartar on your grocery shopping list when you’re planning to bake snickerdoodle cookies. Along with baking soda, it’s the secret to the cookie’s leavening. Some home cooks claim that hand mixing the snickerdoodles, instead of using an electric beater creates a better cookie, but you be the judge!

and a sugar cookie type cookie with Hershey's Candy Cane Kisses in the middles.

If, on a whim, I decide to bake something else, great. If not, these three recipes will do
Doing what I love and loving what I do.

Mmmm! Good idea! I love Christmas cookies!

Here are my absolute favorites! If I only make one type of Christmas goodie over the holidays, these are the ones. (recipe below)

      dough:
      1 cup powdered sugar
      1 cup butter
      1/2 tsp salt
      2 tsp vanilla
      2 cups flour

Cream all but flour until light and fluffy. Add flour. Shape into balls. Make a thumb print in the center. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-16 minutes, or until edges are just starting to turn golden.

      filling:
      1 cup powdered sugar
      2 Tbsp flour
      3 ounces cream cheese, softened
      1/2 cup chopped nuts
      1/2 cup coconut
      1 tsp vanilla

Cream filling mixture. Sparingly top cookies in thumb print indentation. ~about 1/2 tsp per cookie.

      topping:
      1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
      2 Tbsp water
      2 Tbsp butter

Melt and spoon over filling mixture on cookies. Let sit for several hours before packaging. Separate with waxed paper in airtight container. These freeze well.

      ~makes about 70 cookies
