    Grrrr

This morning one of my dcks was scheduled off but his dad texted me and asked if he could bring him which is fine. So dcb shows up at 9:30 dad says thank you he'll be picked up at 2:30. Dcb starts playing with my dd who is 20 months old. Next thing I know my dd has change (pennies, nickels and dimes) in her hands. Dcb had this money in his pocket. He cries because I take it away. Called dad and he says "Oh yeah dcb didn't want to leave his money at home. He's ok with money". Um Hello? What about younger kids who still like to put things in their mouths? They make me so mad having no common sense. Dcb turns 3 this month I still think thats too young to just let him have pockets full of change.

I have several kids who get a "pat down" BEFORE entering daycare and a couple who get the same type of "pat down" before leaving.

Parents NEVER realize or think far enough ahead to consider that there might actually be other kids involved....

Might be time for a general reminder to ALL parents that kids can't bring items like that into your home.

If they do, I get to keep it.

Depending on how much money it is that they have, it could be a good thing. :: ::

Ugh, I would be so mad! Both of my boys swallowed pennies that got stuck when they were 3!

I DO NOT allow change near the kids. I'm super paranoid and I don't care who that bothers. I would tell Dcd it doesn't matter if his child is okay with it, this is group care and change is not allowed for the safety of the other children.

DCM came in today with a plastic bag of clean clothes, which she promptly set on the bench in the playroom.

This mom knows both my sister and I well, and knows that my sister's baby suffocated on a plastic bag (long story) when she was 8 months old. My dck's are 5m, 11 m, 11 1/2 m, and 2 Really? You're going to put an open plastic bag at toddler level?

I should add: I love this mom, she's really cool, I just wonder when people do stuff like that. Another dcm put a plastic bag of dirty clothes on her baby's carseat (on his lap) to carry him out one day. eek!
