grrrrrrr So Over Licensing

I keep getting sent in circles and its driving me crazy!! I can see why many people don't get licensed in nevada and choose to operate legally unlicensed.

Every time i think im taking one step forward, i end up take two steps backward.

That's how it was with my application too! I waited patiently for 90 days like they say it can take to process and then waited a little more... Then was given the wrong info for why, the wrong people to contact and send my paperwork to, etc. I finally called and got a little firm that this was holding me up for almost 4 months now. The analyst had me send it to him and he handled it and I had my home inspection 5 months after I first applied! All the delay was because I was supposed to transfer my fingerprints from the license of the daycare I assisted at to my own daycare! It was crazy!

i submitted my application in may and im still not licensed!! licensing, the health department and the fire department do not communicate well between each other. They all give conflicting info. No one tells you all the details until you show up for an appointment and then you are missing papers and have to reschedule. its ridiculous!

that is to bad here in Utah it is all separate so you dont have to wait for each agency.

My process took forever too! At one point they said they were closing my file because it was expiring. I called them and was like- I'm waiting on you guys- then she said, oh that letter was a mistake, just throw it out. Finally after a few months, they called to schedule my inspection for the NEXT day! I stayed up the entire time to make everything perfect and passed with flying colors but man did it take forever. Luckily my inspector was awesome and I've been able to email him questions. He is super helpful and friendly!

Hang in there! Doing things right isn't always easy but hopefully it will be worth it. If I won the lotto tomorrow I would still do the same job! I love this life!

good news! Some of the bad news i received yesterday wasn't true. Different offices were not on the same page so i was told the wrong information.
I need to schedule my three inspections and then ill just be waiting for my background check to clear!
I will say that I love my surveyor! If she doesn't answer when I call, she always calls back the same day! I love the quick response!
