I state in my handbook that kids can wear no jewelry or accessories at my home. I blame it on them being taken off or falling off and being a hazard to infants. I hate those hair bows, too! I'd just take it off and hand it back to the parent at pick up.

I would take off and clip to cubby or somewhere safe. Maybe add a clause to your contract about it?
I had a girl years back who wore a bow every day, and everyday I would clip it to her cubby because it didn't stay in. Mom would put it back on at pick ups. I actually lost on little one that I think got vacuumed up. She was very unhappy. What a pain!

I do the same- take them off as soon as the parent walks out the door and hand them back w/ their daily reports at p/u.
