I am in a predicament.
Last night at 2 am my furnace blew a circuit. Our whole house was engulfed in smoke. Luckily, no one was hurt, and nothing was damaged. We do have a slight burnt rubbery smell in the house, but with the windows open it seems to be going away, or I am getting used to it.
ANyway, it's obvious I need my ducts cleaned. The HVAC guy is changing out circuit, and I am still waiting on him.
My question is, would you close tomorrow to get the duct cleaned? I am worried that once the heat is turned on all the smoke and sut will circulate again.
