    Child with Epilepsy??

Does anyone else here care for a child that suffers from Epilepsy? I have a 4 year old that has several seizures a day, and I was just hoping someone had some insight.
He is developmentally behind. I compare him with about a 2 year old. He can communicate somewhat, but not really understand cause and effect. I'm having trouble figuring out where he belongs. He enjoys being around the other toddlers, but he argues with them and takes toys like a younger kid. There seems to be a serious communication issue with him and the other 3/4 yr. olds. He's too mature to just sit with the babies. Any ideas??

Well, honestly, from what I know of epilepsy, if he's still having seizures then the epilepsy is NOT being well-controlled. Is he on medication? If not, then he should be. If he is, then he needs a different med or a higher dose or something. He shouldn't be having multiple seizures per day, especially if they are affecting his development (which, it sounds like they are). Have you spoken with his mom?
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!
