Hi Everyone ~
I am just checking in with all of you. I have started my new job, and I LOVE IT!!!! I am teaching in a huge inner-city public school, in a special needs autism preschool. I am the lead teacher in an ABA program, and have 5 assistants working with me. I ended up taking all of my daycare stuff to my new classroom, and it is so fun! I am enjoying every second of my new job. My day's are busy, and fast. I get to work every day at 8:15, and I am home by 3:45. My youngest is thriving in his preschool, and my oldest is loving first grade. I love walking in the door at the end of my school day and being just MOM! Before I left for work this morning, I accomplished more in my house then I did in a full daycare day. I felt like a rock star!
I feel that my time as a DC provider gave me a new insight into teaching. If I hear a teacher complaining about a home daycare or before/after school issues, I am very quick to explain the trials and successes of running a daycare. Thank you to ALL of you for everything you have done, and continue to do. The early years are truly the most important ~ keep doing what you are doing!!!!! Cheers to everyone, and I will keep checking in on everyone!
Thanks for everything!
