I Have My Work Cut Out For Me With This One

Dcb is playing with the sensory bin with beans and rice. He wants to bring a cup full of beans and rice to the house area. I told him the rice needs to stay in the sensory bin.

I go change a diaper. I come back and he's in the house area, with beans. I start to reprimand him and he says:

    "No wice, see? Beans!"

He's 23 months old! Heaven help me when he gets to 3!

I have his 3 year old TWIN! ::

                Dcb put the stick down.
(breaks stick in half, and puts HALF down)
Dcb, please put the stick down.
I did, see? smiles sweetly at me....
I point to the other half of the stick in his hand and say nothing...
Oh you mean ALL of it, silly me. Grinning the entire time.

                Lucky he's so cute.

Kids are great at getting by on technicalities. My daughter is and still is an expert on technicalities .

Hilarious! Sometimes it's hard to remember to say EXACTLY what we mean, and leave no room for interpretation!

Exactly! I *thought* I had a few more months before he figured this out. He could've at least waited until he turned 2!
