Well, I *almost* had tomorrow off

I've got 12 kids enrolled. Because of everyone's vacations, days off, I've only got 2 kids tomorrow, siblings. I asked their mom this a.m., 'since I only have your 2 tomorrow, would it be alright if I took them to the playground?' Sure she says but then she added 'but I've got tomorrow off too. I can just keep them home with me and give you a long weekend?' So I told her it was up to her and just let me know. So at pick-up today, the girls are begging to come tomorrow and she says well ok, if you want to. Argh, oh well. All I can say is I'm glad they're some of my favs! I just felt if I had said I was closed she wouldn't pay me for the day according to my policies.

Well that's disappointing! It's nice that her girls were begging to go to your house tomorrow. It says a lot about you and your day care but.....so much for giving you a long weekend!

Oh well.....on a positive note, I'll bet dcm is looking forward to her long weekend!

I almost had Wed. off...all my kids were out except 2 siblings. Well, one sibling got sick so mom stayed home but sent the other one to me I was shocked she didn't keep them both home with her, irritated most of the day...

That would be fantastic, Jane! I have some appointments to book, so tomorrow would be the perfect day to do that. Thanks!

I have a policy that parents can't use my services unless they are at work or school anyways... so this would have been simple for me - as soon as she mentioned she had the day off I would have said "Great, that means I do too! See you Monday!"

I kept hoping I'd hear from dcm at the last minute, telling me she didn't want to wake the girls or something. But no, they came bouncing in, at 7:50, all smiles and super excited they get to spend the whole day hanging out with just me and my dd. How could I have said no to that? Good thing they're so sweet. It's been nice though, playground, library, silliness, now they're watching Air Bud that they picked out at the library.
In 2 weeks I'm going to be missing their sweet bouncy selves so I guess it hasn't been too bad(after I got over my pity party) Haha

Ugh needavaca, yeh, that would've made me angry. Having just 1 child all day is hard.
