    New Kid Started Today

Dad went back to work and grandma can't handle it. Mind you, grandma enrolled dcg before dad even started working.
Grandma drops off today, first day, shows up early and as she leaves I say Have a good day! She replies Oh, I will. Good luck. ::
    LOL
So far dcg is a good cleaner upper and although she isn't shy at all, she is so far being a good listener and playing pretty well with others. Time will tell.

Grandma said good luck?! Sometimes kids act better for non-family members....sometimes not. Hopefully the child continues to behave for you!

I get that a lot from parents/grandparents. I even get warning texts before they arrive saying their child is behaving horribly and is cranky/moody/etc. :: When they arrive, the child always happily comes in and does just fine. The parents are always like this: .

My new kiddo is having some issues with drop off because he has never been in daycare before. When Mom drops off, he cries when she leaves.

Grandma dropped off yesterday and goes, "Oh, I just know he is going to be so much worse today when I leave because he just loves LaLa."

He didn't bat an eyelash. ::

I'm so not worried about it. I have them on drop in contract and don't need the $. If she's terrible, BYE BYE :: she is a temp kid anyway - summer people, going home in October.
