I've had kids tell me the same thing, that they love what I serve. Really, because dinner shouldn't take more than an hour to make.

also, I come a european background so having large breaky isn't a big deal, but their theory is that they eat a big breakfast and a smaller lunch and dinner. along with all the stuff heidi posted they also served yogurt at breakfast.

the worst about the nurse mom I had was that she was overweight, not a bunch, but she would buy extra large drinks and take out food before she came and picked her kid up. But she then convinced her dr to have bypass surgury because she wanted to be thin. She didn't learn how to eat properly but it was a quick fix for her.

I have a decent chance of offending some parents when I open my center as if it were me, I'd tell her. I would be nice about it, but would still not be able to hold that thought in . It should be acceptable to hand the mom a couple menu options and explain to her if she truly wants her child to finish a plate at dinner she could consider making what your suggesting... even if for no other reason than her kid really likes it.

I figure that what families do at home isn't in my control so all I can do is offer nutritious meals here, and that's better than nothing.
