DCM said that because she is a nurse, she really thought she had it under control. She does this for other things as well, (colds that have a cough that lasts too long, etc). I wanted to say, you're a NURSE, not a doctor but I just wished dcg the best and shut up.
LOL (I wish we had a rolling laughing avatar) :: Gotta love moms and those that are LPNS. I mean this as no disrespect, but an lpn is not a nurse. They are just cnas with one more year of schooling. A seasoned tech could run circles around an LPN.
I just have to say I simply do NOT understand why a parent wouldn't take it upon themselves to get it checked out anyways, if it's that bad. Why on earth does it take a provider to help them wake up?? WTH does it take to make a phone call? Luckily, I've got excellent parents so I can't picture any of them not getting a sting like that checked out but it's unbelievable how children come 2nd(3rd, 4th, etc.) in so many peoples' lives.
Just sitting and shaking my head. I cannot understand parents sometimes.
Yesterday I sent a child home with a rash all over. Seems mom knew about it and asked if I required pick up. Um. Yeah! Besides the fact the poor kids is digging at himself I have no clue if its contagious. Wanted to say WHY would you bring him in he first place?! Better yet she is an exdaycare provider
I agree. How hard is it to just call a dr and make sure your child is ok?
JUST heard back. It got worse, dcg had an epi shot, and is being discharged this afternoon if it continues to improve. Apparently she is having a bonkers reaction to epi (makes you hyper-increased heart rate) and is singing at the top of her lungs in her bed there. ::
