    Inwardly, I'm Laughing

At the end of a conversation with 4 yo dcb...

Me: "Do you really think that's a good choice?"
    DCB: [shakes head "no"]
    Me: "Then don't do it!"
DCB: "Oh! That makes sense now!"

chuckling inwardly. Has no one ever pointed out that if it's not a good choice...don't do it?!

(pretty sure I have. He also tends to act like EVERYTHING is a novelty and a revelation.)

Do you guys have any of those "Can't laugh can't laugh can't laugh but dang that was amusing" moments today?
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!

I have a friend here from England for a month & she has a horse over there.

4 yo dck was upset that my friend didn't bring the horse w/her. They had this convo yesterday:

Friend: "I couldn't bring my horse because horses cannot go on airplanes darling."

4 yo dck: "They can go on boats, duh!"

If it wasn't for the rudeness and sass it would've been funny.

me: DCB, are you listening to me?
      3 yo: No.
      me: why not?
      3 yo:I can't.

This happened at first drop off this morning

Dcg was singing with her Mom in the car and came in singing over and over 'moto foto gentlemen' and dcb looked at her, elbowed me and said loudly, "***** said MOTHER F****** GENTLEMEN!"

It was HILARIOUS, and I had to really try hard not to laugh, but I have been telling dcm over and over that the popular radio music is frowned upon here because it is REALLY not age appropriate, and dcb illustrated my point PRECISELY.

I have replaced dcg's favorite trendy song with this one, and dcm was annoyed because dcg didn't remember the 'real words'

This didn't happen recently but several months ago during DC:

DS (1 1/2yo) jumping on couch.
ME: I need you to get down. Danger.
          DS: (jumping and smiling)
ME: Fredo get down. Danger. I don't want you to fall (walking over to him)
DS: (jumping and still smiling. Laughing now. as I get really close he makes an attempt to jump out of reach. He slips and falls off of couch before I can reach him and starts to cry)
ME: (I rush over and check him but I'm upset) Are you okay?
DS: Isis do it!!!! - as in "Isis did it"
Isis is my 8yo DD ... she at the time was at school .

He sounds JUST LIKE one of my 4 year old DCBs here. I do giggle and say, "I'm so glad."

As one of my dc kids was leaving for the dr's office, she very excitedly told me, "He's the one with the big balls!!!"

(Dcd quickly explained that the landscaping around the dr's office included round sculptures that looked like balls.)
