    Well, That Was Quick ...

My first-ever DCK started last Monday (so this is his 2nd week here). His mom texted me today that she is giving his 2 weeks notice!

I wasn't quite sure how long she was planning on staying here anyways (she's finishing up her last year of high school) ... but she said she just got a job for the summer somewhere that would be too long for them to drive (like, 2-3 hours) back and forth every day, so they will be living in that area now.

Bummed, as I feel like this little guy and I were finally getting to know each other this week (he's 9 months). But about 10 minutes after I received her text, I got a phone call to set up an interview for this evening. Full-time family, one little girl now and due with another in November. happyface

That's the bad part of having a fcc. You just never know when someone will just up and leave! At least you have an interview set up. Good Luck!

And at least this young high school girl was responsible enough to give you notice...something a lot of older adults haven't seemed to grasp yet.

You'll have ups and downs...hang in there, it will all work out.

amazingly I have a young parent too and she is the most responsible parent ever. she puts the others to shame. I'm also proud of her because she took the high road and got a college education.

Thank you! The interview went well, adorable little girl.

And yes, this young mom has been very responsible and a very easy parent. I'm going to miss that! Haha.
