I allow non nappers to play with toys or watch a movie quietly, but, I have a separate napping room so it's not too difficult for me.

No way in h3ll would I allow an iPad into my home...I don't even have one. No way in h3ll would I allow a child that young to play with it instead of sleep, and no in h3ll would I allow a child of ANY age to get away with mocking like that!! He's only 2?! That sounds like something a 4 yo would do!! He must be very verbal!
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!

This dcb is SERIOUSLY electronics addicted. I am doing the back to basics toy play with him and everything. DCM is just happy that he can entertain himself for hours on end (all electronically, mind you).

Anyway, ipad is banned here, she got the notice home about the no electronics for under 5 (directly from my handbook) and then proceeded to worry that little jr would be bored. I didn't respond at all, she went on to say that she doesn't mind if he misses nap, because he is asleep by 6:30. I literally just HAD to walk away. I couldn't listen for another second after that.

I am SO sad for this generation of kids being raised on electronics. Don't get me wrong, my kids HAVE them, they just have LIMITED time with them. I think owning an ipad (yes it is HIS ipad) at 2 years old is the definition of ridiculous. He also has a kindle, a bigscreen tv in his room with a dvd player, and xbox with Netflix that he can watch on demand. C R A Z Y.
