    Not showing up for Interview

This drives me insane. People want a daycare spot. Phone and talk to you. Make arrangements to meet and then don't show up. So rude! I come back early from a walk for this woman last week and she doesn't show. Then she calls here 3 times yesterday. First two times I ignored the call last time I picked it up. She wants to know if I still have a spot. Acknowledges that she spoke to me last week. Says nothing about not showing up. I need to fill another space so I make another appointment. 1:00 pm today. Guess what. it is now 1:07 pm and she hasn't shown up. grrrrrr

That's usually a good indication of what kind of client she'd be.

I confirm interviews the day before with potential clients via e-mail. In that e-mail I confirm the date and time of our interview and I include the following at the bottom of the e-mail:
This time is reserved just for your family. If your scheduled appointment time needs to be changed, please provide no less than 24 hours notice. Barring extenuating circumstances, missed appointments or late arrivals will not be rescheduled.
I rescheduled missed appointments for two families in the past. Neither situation ended well. Same goes for those that are late to interviews. I will not answer the door after someone is 15 minutes late. Take what she's telling you at face value ... "I respect my time but don't respect yours. I WILL continue this trend if I attend your daycare."
