Holy moly it's been a day. Last pay period I had 3 out of 6 people "forget" their checkbooks, so I put a sign on the door today. I only work Monday through Thursday so today is it. One mom gave me a check and after she left I logged it. It was short a day. This family wanted to work with a flexible schedule which I don't normally do and won't do again. I was short on kids so I did it. They wanted normally 3 out of 4 days. sometimes they might just need 2. I said fine I would do it on the condition that I'm paid 3 days no matter if they come 1 or 2. Fine. This week she comes in with the check short because he came 2 days last week. Immediate text to her and she says hubby will bring difference. Then I have child #2 come and later we decide to go outside. He's got no shoes only socks. Dad brings him in teh morning with only socks on. Really does it take that long to put shoes on? Chidl #3 comes. This is the one I've written about before. Mom is home during maternity leave and dcb still comes 10 hours a day 3 days a week, normal schedule. The dad normally brings him and he's normally fine. Dad out of town today (hence probably wont' get their check at the end of the day), so mom brings him. He is sobbing so bad and saying no no no home home home. Mom says oh stop I feel so bad blah blah blah. She's going garage saling today. She says, isn't the separation anxiety supposed to stop by 2 years old? I said, well he's just having a hard time because he's here and he knows you're home with the new baby, so he's sad. He'll be here until 5:15 tonight. Poor baby.
