    Movie Theater Birthday Party

Decided to throw my daughter a surprise party for her 7th birthday this weekend. She originally wanted to go out to the movies with a couple of friends. I decided to turn our house into a movie theater and show a movie here. Thought about making a concession stand in the kitchen for the girls to order snacks. Now I am looking for help coming up with any other ideas for activites, crafts, etc. There will only be about six girls and all are either 5,6 or 7 years old. I need simple to throw together ideas as this will be this Saturday afternoon - wasn't planning on doing it this weekend, but it worked out that it was a good weekend for the guests. I plan on browsing pinterest, but know some of you will have wonderful ideas to share as well! Thanks in advance!

Oh that sounds like so much fun!

Could you do a red carpet & press? Give them things to dress up in, you & a friend do hair makeup nails for them & have them walk the red carpet? You could give them disposable cameras to take pics of each other.

Are there any activities to go with the movie you've chosen?

After I posted this I had the exact same thought about the dressing up! Just not sure I could completely pull it off before Saturday. I don't have a lot of fancy girl dress up items. Ooooooh, maybe I can request the girls come dressed in their Hollywood's finest outfits and can still do the red carpet experience but without me having to worry about all the supplies! As for the activities to go with the movie...I haven't decided on a movie yet! I know, this hasn't been well thought out yet! But, I am thinking maybe the movie Enchanted. Not 100% sure yet. Thanks for the ideas! Do they still sell disposable cameras? ::

Yeah! This is so cute! Go for the whole Hollywood movie theme! Maybe a craft could be getting cheap plastic sunglasses, a low temp glue gun and gems or jewels from the craft store so they can decorate their own movie star style sunglasses? Every starlet has to have her shades
