She was born almost two months early so she was in the NICU for 3 weeks. I struggled to pump and she took the breast maybe once. By the time she came home, I was dry.
And our new house has hookups but we don't have a w/d yet. Plus people gave us a ton of disposables that we are still working through. But once we get a w/d I hope to still cloth diaper. So thanks for your info, Size18!!
I know this is an old thread. Since it came back up I thought I would ask here instead of starting a new one. I do not like the all in one CD. I don't mind them for DCKs as long as parents bring enough! I am going to do the prefolds with covers for my child. What brand do you recommend? He is a big boy! I have been told to stay away from thirsties covers since they run small.

Sorry to hear that... but I'm not going anywhere, so if you find that your situation changes and you're ready to start, I'll be here.

I have no experience with the new/modern, so I can't speak for them, but if I were to do the baby thing again, I'd choose traditional old-fashioned cloth diapers and rubber pants again in a heartbeat!

I like Thirsties covers and Diaper Safari covers (they're like Flips but cheaper and a little better IMO).

Cloth diapering is great. I have NO IDEA how I would afford disposables if I even wanted to go that route as my daughter cannot stand a wet/dirty diaper touching her for even one minute. I go through more than 20 diapers a day.

Thirsties has a new line with sizing options. Size 2 are from 18-40 pounds and are plenty roomy. I also love Blueberry brand because they also have the legs gussets that hold the poo in. There is a cheaper brand name Prowrap Classic that run bigger and have the leg gussets. These are the brands I use for my DCKs. Hope this helps.
