Just For Fun: Has Anyone Ever Had A Weird Daycare Dream Like This?

I had a dream last night that I ran a daycare not only for children but also for cats and dogs. And that it was a mad house because I was alone and at max capacity for each category.

And whenever a parent came to the door I asked "Are you here to pick up a cat, a dog, or a kid?"

Have you ever had any weird daycare type dreams?

LMAO! that's a good one. I actually had a pretty bad one a few nights ago where I was running my DC but had like 2-3X the kids I actually have and then OF COURSE... Zombie Apocalypse. It was horrible! I think I used the easel to board up one of the windows or something. Screaming babies, fighting off zombies and hiding in the basement. UHG. CLEARLY I've been watching too much Walking Dead.

:: I tell people all the time I need a 'kid-door' and a slot for payments like the bank. We just pass the kid through the door, money goes in the slot! My life would be soooo much better!

          ::::

I always end up with the nightmares:
-DCPs showing up on days off
-DCPs just not showing up at all and DCKs having to live with me
          -Someone getting hurt/kidnapped
-Some sort of disaster and I'm stuck with a house full of DCKs and a disaster to deal with

Thankfully I don't have these that often! I hate dreaming about DC! ::

Lol that would be an awesome zombie movie. Maybe then parents would relize how serious this business really is .

If they did make a movie like that maybe the zombie could be a sick kid that sneeks past the health rador and it could have a moral at the end with a black screen in red cryptic letters that says "Never take a sick kid to daycare"

I, too stared longingly at my door wondering if it was possible. No intercom though, just a slot for payment and kiddie door. Door unlocks when the check goes in.

Licensing might not like it though. ::

I dreamt just a couple of nights ago that a DCM came to pick up her son while I was outside gardening. She was super ticked to find me outside and that no one was inside watching the kids, and I was completely caught off guard thinking no one was inside because it was the weekend and wondering why she was there. We went to the door together, and there were around 20 kids playing in my house completely unsupervised - in my dream I forgot it was a work day! I was FLIPPING OUT! And then I woke up. :: Funny part to me - I don't garden! :::::: I hate dreams like that! I've always had them, even from my very first job. I was a server and remember a dream where I would drop entire trays or forget about tables completely. Crazy...

I still have dreams that I am in high school and that either I am late for a class or that I won't be able to graduate- but I graduated back in 2009 and could have graduated a semester early if I wanted to. And I know it's not about college because I had them even when I wasn't going to college.

I also once had a dream when I worked at one daycare that a DCG did something she wasn't supposed to and I was taking her to time out and I guess I yanked her so hard that her head fell off! I freaked out that I couldn't find her head, so I tried to replace it with what ever I could find: a dolls head, a foot ball, and a lemon.

Yes!! After those breastfeeding threads on here last week, I had a nightmare that I was breastfeeding my two youngest dc kids. They are 18 mo and 20 mo and they are BIG kids. EWWWW!!! The funny part is the last time I breastfed my son was 3 years ago!!

The entire next day my boobs hurt!! You breastfeeding mommas know what I'm talking about, that weird pain when your milk lets down!!!
