I had a mom had me a strange schedule scribbled on a piece of paper last Friday. At first I thought it was the next two weeks and then I realized it was the month! She said we don't need you as many days because our schedules have changed. I said we'll let me know if you need other days because it is your week. They are full time but varies 3 - 4 days but long 12 hour days. Have always handed me a check for the full week, never bickered. Talked to his dad on Monday and again I stated if they wanted other days to let me know because they weren't using much of their week, one day this week. But hey have just moved and I thought mom might want her kid... Arrived to day check was in bottom of bag and written out for one day... I looked at dad and said what? You still owe me blank amount more. He said oh I will tell wife. I Said, that is why I asked both of you if you would like any other days. You are contracted by the week. He left. I wrote out the letter your contract states blah blah blah. If you would like to terminate blah blah blah. It is just so frustrating! They have seemed strange lately, hope this resolves nicely. I love the kid, he has been here almost a year.

Ugh, that stinks! I would bet the rest of the money owed dcd was fully aware of how short the check was, too!

long term clients that are suddenly acting weird and "forgot" to write a full check? they are one foot out the door. I would expect them to give notice very soon.

that was the case for one of my parents.. she started doing daily instead of weekly because she couldnt afford it anymore.. just had her daughter stay with family or friends when she could.. but of course since daily rate is higher..pretty soon she had to terminate care..

I think there is something going on. They still have the same jobs etc.. I don't know the what but, that doesn't change their obligation to me I just need to know one way or the other.
