I had to really "backbone up" to get an $11.00 late fee from a new client a few weeks ago. It caused me a lot of anxiety.
Today, I had a new client (who had been here for one month in the past before I downsized) call and say she would be late due to being locked out of the house and having to wait on a locksmith. She was crying and kept apologizing. She came and instantly handed me two twenties ($9 over what she owed) and said to keep the change and that she was just so sorry. happyface So sweet! I told her I would credit her the $9.00 overage on her upcoming invoice, and I am doing so quite happily. She also told me she was so excited to learn the gender of the baby and that she would be going on a shopping trip. lovethis
I love it when parents are actually apologetic for being late and pay their late fee in a timely manner!!!! It is so rare!
