Glad I Didn't Say No....

The routine after lunch is wash faces at the table, change diapers/use potty, wash hands, read book, turn music on, go to sleep.

We had morning snack and it was quite messy so I gave the kids wash cloths to wash their faces. I changed a few diapers that were due, and we washed our hands. Then the kids insisted that it was nap time. I tried explaining but they really really wanted to lay down (???????)

So I played along -read a book, turned the music on and left the room, figuring they would lay there for 5 minutes and then come out to play.

Nope - they all fell asleep!

I just tossed the schedule out the window.

hahaha! Gotta love that! Enjoy your unexpected rest time. When it's really rest time and they're awake, take 'em out for a nice looooooong recess!

So they slept for an hr & a half, got up, played for an hr, had lunch, we played outside for an hr, now they're back asleep.
