    Sitting here alone

My first daycare child was supposed to be here at 7:30...it's now almost 8:15 and he's not here yet. No phone call or anything.

Normally I wouldn't mind because my grandkids live with me and they go to school so I have to be up anyways, but once a month they have a 2 hour delayed start at school...and this is the day.

So I didn't have to be up until another hour later had I known this dck wouldn't have been here on time, as my next dck doesn't arrive until 9:30.

    So annoyed right now.

      I hate that!

One of my parents has been showing up a half hour later than her usual time. She usually comes at 6 and for the past two Weeks has been coming at 630. Normally I don't care because I have to get ds up and ready anyway. But this week is spring break.

So today I over slept because I knew she wasn't coming until later and ds had no school. Guess who shows up on time?
I woke up to my dogs barking and her banging on the door. I opened it and after apologizing I said, "so are we back to our normal time then?" I couldn't help it. I was annoyed as well.

Yep. Even if I didn't have any errands to run.

Well finally at 8:45 she texts me that he wasn't coming today because he stayed the night at her brothers last night...like she hasn't known this for several hours (since whenever he went there yesterday) and just NOW lets me know.

Guess I'll include that in the parent letter I've been preparing for all the inconsiderate parents I've got who don't seem to think my time is important.

I have another one who told me she didn't 'think' dcg was going to be here today, but she would call me and let me know for sure as soon as she got home from pick up...on Monday. Haven't heard from her either...so guess who's leaving as soon as the kids go to school today.

If she does show up...too bad, she was supposed to let me know. It's my other dcb day off today and another is at his dad's so I'm childless today and going to enjoy my time...

This is the most frustrating part of child care for me. It is sooooo much work to teach parents that we are to be treated with respect. Enjoy your day!
