Wish I was a Weather Forecaster

It is the only job you can make a mistake all the time and still have a job the next day!

When I went to bed last night, they had predicted snow that would stop around 11 this morning, at a max of 8 inches total.

We now have 24 inches on my deck. And it is STILL SNOWING!!!!!

Good news is, I have the day off.

Yeah, I was surprised, too! The guy who plows our driveway came about 2 hours ago and there's already another 3-4 inches on the driveway.

Have you noticed that for the last few years, the tv weathermen have been boasting about their new, high-tech forecasting equipment but for almost every storm that has come up, they say, "The computer models are all giving us conflicting information. It's too tough to call." We almost have to wait until the storm is over before we know what to expect!

I was thinking the same thing! These days I don't believe 1/2 of what they say, I wait until morning and just look out the window It's weird, I swear they used to be better years ago but now even with all the new high tech stuff they are wrong more often than right! What a great job to have

This is exactly what I thought when I first read your title ::.

We were warned about a storm that would start yesterday and go until tonight .... it sprinkled a little bit for like 30 seconds during the day and rained a little bit this morning and now the sun is poking out .

I tell dh that every once in a while and then realize I don't want to hang out at the tv station for hours upon hours when there is a storm. I'd rather watch it from the comfort of my own living room. I'm hoping our meteorologist is wrong. We are suppose to get rain starting tonight. Heavy at times, could be freezing, maybe some flooding, and turning to snow on Sunday.

I've often thought this too! Especially a weather forecaster in TX. The weather changes here so frequently it's really anyone's guess what will happen! So they get paid basically to just guess something even tho the opposite happens like 12 hours later!

Can you imagine if any of us had a success rate comparable to that as a Daycare Provider?!?!?!!
