I cancelled cable to save money and fell in love with Netflix and Hulu. In turn, I watch SCANDAL, House of Cards, Law & Order SVU, The Taste (cooking competition), SNL (religiously) and The Following. Guilty pleasures do cross over to reality TV at times (Housewives, BBall Wives, etc.) and I'm a ****er for any Wedding Show (My Fair Wedding by David Tuterra, Say Yes to the Dress, Wedded to Perfection, etc.)
Edited to add House, Grey's, The Mindy Project (most dr. shows are good in my book); American Horror Story was freaky but pretty interesting...

Thats what we did, too. Best decision ever! We're saving so much money and I find I'm not constantly compelled to be a couch potato all day long
