Is there a job out there like a professional gift giver? I think I would be really good at that too. I can come up with really good ideas for gifts and I like spending other people's money if they put me up to it ::.

Doing day care and being able to be home for my daughter is my dream job. I always knew I wanted to be a SAHM.

BUT....if I had to choose another job it would be

      1. A kindergarten teacher.
      2. Own a gift shop
      3. Be a professional crafter.

        Weird, but true

A lunch lady at my kids school! I love to feed people and then I could have the best of both worlds. Work while my kids were in school and be off when they were off. My mamaw was the lunch lady at my school growing up and all the kids called her mamaw. I have the best mamaw in the world and I want to be just like her!

If I could make money from it I would own and operate my own miniature dollhouse and accessory store. I'd love to own a little shop full of dollhouses packed with teeny tiny furniture and decorations (I'm a doll house freak).

I think my main reason for wanting to run one would be to be able to work on my own dollhouses and fix them up (interior design) all day ::. Even when I was a kid I never actually played with my dollhouse, I just arranged and re-arranged it over an over again.

I used to sell the accessories (pots, pans, dollhouse food, dollhouse furniture, dolls etc.) online but I stopped doing it after I started doing daycare. My sister and I are going into business together I think and we're going to start this up again. I really need to start working on my dollhouses again and finish them so I need some extra cash to do that (it's an expensive hobby :.

I've always wanted to start a non-profit organization helping children. I'd love to be that person that cares how their day at school went for the children who normally not get that.

I have another one. I guess you could call it a job but I've ALWAYS wanted to be a surrogate mother. Being pregnant as a job (I lovethislovedlovethis being pregnant) and giving people who really want kids babies! Best "job" ever. I came very close once. I even got signed on by an agency but they later dropped me when the realized I was in Oklahoma and OK "frowns upon compensated surrogacy" Now I don't think it would even be an option becase after my last pregnancy I"ve developed some medical issues that may result in a hysterectomy and even if I end up not having to have it now, I'm not sure my body could handle the pregnancy. It makes me very sad to think that it is most likely impossible to do this. It has been a dream of mine for a loooong time

When I got married and came to the US from England, I had to leave most of my childhood belongings behind

The one thing I missed the very most was the dollhouse my grandfather made for me. He was a master craftsman and could make ANYTHING with wood. He made cribs for my dolls, furniture for my room (including a "grand-daughter" clock....a replica of a grandfather clock, but only stood about 4 feet tall)

When I was 4 years old, he made me a dollhouse for Christmas. I was his only grand-daughter and he spent months on it. He made a complete replica of my grandparents house. He made all the tiny furniture, it even had lights. It was a one story "ranch style". The roof lifted up on hinges. I loved lowering the roof and turning on the lights (a switch in the chimney!) To me it was truly magical.

When my brother had a daughter, I told my mother to give it to her as I knew I could never afford to have it shipped here. She now has a daughter of her own who plays with it. I often wonder if Grandad knew that 3 generations would love it.....and maybe more.

I completely understand you fascination with dollhouses. If you ever get the chance to go to England...check out the Queen's Dollhouse at Windsor Castle (I grew up 8 miles from there). It is a wonder to see. You may be able to find pics online too. It's AMAZING!
