And, Because Our School District Is So AWESOME!

I have to wake everyone up from naps ONE WHOLE HOUR EARLY today! happyfacehappyface WHOO HOO!!!

    NOT.

I am so not looking forward to the hours between 2:15 and 5:45.

My daughter has early release today. This is the third or fourth one this year and the other two times I was able to get someone to either get her at the bus stop or stay at my house with sleeping children while I got her at the bus stop. I wasn't able to arrange for that today though and I'm annoyed.

Ours do this every, every Wednesday do get rid of the ever so often early release days and all the extra days off. I do have to say its nice not to have the kids home all the time for a day off but I so wish they would do it on Fridays.

From my highschoolers down on Wednesdays I START having kids coming through the door at 1:45 and it finally ends at 2:45-

If and When my kids nap on Wednesdays they usually are just settling down/falling asleep and all the kids start coming in the door.

The only thing I like about Wednesdays-going to Wednesday night church-happyface

We don't gave.ER today but I feel for you! luckily my kids' bus drops off at our driveway; howver, keeping my kids quiet while everyone is napping is a challenge. Hope your afternoon goes smoothly

I too am not a fan of early release. We have that 2 times a year and late start 2 times a year. This year ds takes the bus and it drops off right by our place and he would be old enough to walk from wherever anyway. If dd can't get a ride with the neighbor kids, then she has to walk alone. We are 1/4 mile short of getting the bus-should've paid more attention when we purchased the house. Mine know to be quiet, because if they wake them, they get to sit with me downstairs until rest time is over and listen to them too

Hope they get a good hard sleep before you have to wake them and that they have a good afternoon! If it's nice out, I would head out for the rest of the time-hard to get cranky outsidehappyface

If we had it every week CK I wouldn't mind; it would be routine! It's the mucking with routine that I abhor, .

If it were nice out we would so do that. But, it's cold (right around freezing), spitting rain/snow every now and then, windy, grey, depressing, and my 9 mo daycare boy tends to howl when we go out in this weather. So, we're in.

I'll survive, somehow I always do, but it will be a long-ass afternoon.

Our school district has ER every Wednesday too.

Since it is going to be such a long afternoon, make the SA kids turn over 1 piece of their Valentine's chocolate to you for each time they do something that requires intervention/assistance from you.

That should make the afternoon a bit easier to manage!

it's only DD who's SA. And she doesn't even get her party until tomorrow because of ER today and her being PM kindy. Great idea though!

Our has late START day every Wednesday. Much better to have them here the extra hour from 8:40 to 9:40 am than to have them come home at 2:45 when the little ones are still napping!
