I met the GH guys a few years ago at a paranormal conference. It was very interesting, and Jason and Grant were very nice, down-to-earth guys. So sad that Grant isn't investigating anymore (at least for the show).
I definitely believe that children have the ability to see things that most don't. Sometimes it sticks with some people into adulthood. Do you ever have any odd feelings or experiences in the house when the kids aren't there, Country Kids?
my sister in law & I have the hots for Steve!!:: I don't think it'll be him though because I was looking up other cities to see if there were any reviews & a couple said Jason and Steve, ours just says and special guest.
Oh My...I had an ongoing experience with a DCG here a few years ago. it started out with my TV popping on and off while she was here, then the lights. I immediately thought I was having an electrical problem.
Then one day the kids were all sitting at the dining table and I was looking for one of the kids' sippy cups. This same little girl said 'that man right there has it'. I said 'what are you talking about?' to which she replied 'the man standing by the refrigerator'. I quickly turned and there was the sippy cup on the counter...I swear I had already looked there. She said 'you scared him away, and now he is gone!'.
When her Mom came to pick her up, I told her what had happened and she covered her mouth and said 'oh my gosh, her Grandmother is supposedly able to speak with the dead and she has repeatedly said the DCG has the same gift and I just refused to believe it'. Right when the Mom was telling me this....the timer buzzer went off on my oven!!! I had not used that timer for YEARS! It scared the heck out of us! The Mom was so freaked out she almost left without her daughter!
we moved in to this current house two years ago. my daughter was 3 at the time and had a hard time with it. she's 5 now and STILL talks about our old house. anyway, she wasnt napping and was scared in her room and just had a lot of anxiety about the move. I did pray that everything would smooth out and I do pray often for many things. Anyway, for the next several days, she was totally fine sleeping and all was well. I asked her about it and she said there was a beautiful lady all in white that would come and sit with her during her naps so she wouldnt be scared. I believe that this was an angel or someone looking out for her. my daughter even told me when the angel left (about a week later) and said that they talked about her being fine and about not needing the lady to come anymore. While we do go to church, we had never talked about angels before, what they might look like or anything of that sort. I do believe my daughter was being protected
3 years ago my cousin's 2 1/2 year old daughter passed away unexpectedly. She was very sick but, we didn't know until her little heart couldn't last(only 4-5 days prior to her passing). For the couple of weeks leading up to this she would start talking to an imaginary friend. She named her Lisa and would always talk to her. We firmly believe that this was the spirit of our Aunt's bf who passed away years before and had always wanted a little girl. I think Lisa came to get her so that she wouldn't be scared. It gives me chills to this day to think of this, it is also somewhat comforting to know that we don't leave this world alone.
At my old job, which was formerly a huge house built in the 1920's, we would always hear little footsteps running on the second floor when no one was up there. Several staff members, who weren't all employed there at the same time heard them. And frequently, on Mondays things would be moved around or in curious places ( my classroom was up there). I never was afraid of them, they were just playful children.
We moved into our current houseabout three years ago. My son was 2 1/2 and he could go up and down the stairs on his own. I always had a "feeling" while on the stairs and upstairs.
I noticed that my son would almost always be talking to himself while coming down the stairs and I started listening to what he was saying and it always sounded like one side of a conversation, or like he was answering questions.
We will also hear footsteps upstairs all the time.
Then when our other son was born about a year and a half later, I made the spare bedroom upstairs into the nursery. This room has a door in the back of the room that leads to attic space. The rocking chair was next to the door and the crib next to the rocking chair (so attic space was behind me whil I was sitting in the chair) So one night, baby wakes up in the moddle of the night (normal time to eat) so I go upstairs and feed him in the rocking chair. As I'm feeding him, I hearr footsteps in the attic space behind me just walking back and forth for a good twenty minutes I was so freaked out! We have a video monitor and I was always a little nervous to turn the picture on thinking I would see something in his room. Even though this has scared me, I don't feel like it's evil or anything.
Plus, once my s-i-l came to visit and she brought up to me that she hears noises and footsteps upstairs. She also went out at night and came back after we were all asleep. She got a few feet from the door and started to lift her hand to reach for the door knob and the door opened before she could even touch it. She said all she could think to do is say, "Thank you"::
It would give me the willeys, yes, but it is something I truly believe in.
Here is a long-winded story along the same lines...I will try to be brief.
My son was about 3 years old, and I was pregnant with my second child. It was about 2 in the morning, and my husband and I heard him talking over the monitor, full on conversation. We listened, chuckling, thinking he was talking in his sleep. Then he says, "Why aren't you talking to me?", then "Are you my new friend?", then "Do you know how to talk? Why are you looking at me like that?"
At this point, we entered his room, thinking some crazy was in there. Nope. Room was empty, and he was looking in the corner of this room. He started describing his new friend. She was really old, didn't talk, smiled a lot, and had crazy white hair.
My husband's grandmother died of complications from a stroke when I was pregnant with him. She lost her ability to talk, but always smiled when we talked about the soon to be born baby. She also had white hair.
The next morning, my m-i-l called to let us know that my husband's grandfather would probably not make it through the night. This is the grandfather that been married to the recently deceased grandmother. He died an hour later.
I am CONVINCED that this visitor was my husband's grandmother, and that she had come to check in on everyone and then welcome her husband back to her.
When I was a kid and living in my mom's old house I swear there was lady in a grey dress with white collar and long straight black hair living there and she played tricks on me. I would see her from the corner of my eye and in the reflection of mirrors standing behind me but of course she's be gone when I looked. She liked to open close the doors in the house behind and locked me out a few times ... I SWEAR!!! Like I'd walk to the garage and leave the door open and on my way back the door would be closed so I would come back in thinking that I closed it on accident so I closed it behind me then walked back later and the door would be wide open ... only when i was home alone. Funny thing is that I never felt threatened or scared. I told my parents and they always brushed me off saying I was trying to scare them. It happened until I was about 8yo then it just stopped and I forgot all about it.
Fast forward a few years later to when my little sister was 3 or 4 (I was 13 or 14) and my mom comes in my room yelling at me to stop scaring my sister. I had no idea what she was talking about and it turned out that my sister had been talking to herself in her room (which had once been my room before she was born) and my mom thought it was cute that she had an imaginary friend. She asked my sister about it and asked her what she was like and my sister described her as a skinny lady with long black hair and a grey dress. LOL all I remember saying to her was I TOLD YOU!!!! :: (I had never mentioned the lady to my sister and had forgotten all about it until then). My sister continued to talk to her "friend".
Fast forward again to a few years ago my mom and dad separated and my dad moved out so mom rented out the spare bedrooms to a family that were friends of hers. Immediately they started to complain about being locked out of the house and the doors opening and closing on their own. One story I heard was that the mom closed and locked, bolted and chained the front door shut for the night and that as she turned down the hall the door opened and slammed shut when she went back and turned the corner the front door was still locked, bolted and chained. The older brother of the family thought it was all bull honkey and would always make jokes and comments about it then one night he spent the night and made fun about how he hoped that ghost lady was hot and that she visited him in the room (he slept in my sister's old bedroom) he came out of the room running in the morning and he SWEARS that someone yanked him out of bed. Everyone else was in the kitchen having breakfast and scolded him for making fun of ghosts.
My daughter has also gone over to the house plenty of times and has seen the "tall skinny white lady with the long black hair".
My DD however apparently picked up her own ghost somewhere along the way and brought one home. She calls her "grandma ghost" and for years she swore that she had four grandmas ... Grandma M (my mom), Grandma L (my DH's mom), Nana (her bio-dad's mom) and Grandma Ghost. She would "take her everywhere" with her and talk to her. It freaked my family and friends out. Grandma Ghost's story was that she and her kids died in a fire and since her house burned down she needed a place to live so my DD asked her to come live here with her. My DD, always the good samaritan .
Do I believe in ghost ... kinda hard not to in my case just not exactly sure what they really are. ::
