    Need help quick

    DCM shorted me for New Years I need to send her a text.....

    Does this sound ok?


    Hi, I just got your check out and you must have forgotten that New Years is a paid holiday.


    Then do I tell her what she owes?

    I sent out newsletter with which holidays are paid and this week should be full rate. I am however WILLING to not charge her for New Years Eve bc she might have had to work and I was not available.

      "Good morning DCM. I'm sure it was an oversight but I noticed your check didn't include payment for New Year's Day. According to my contract, it is a paid holiday. Would you mind taking care of this balance at pick up today? Thanks! Have a great day!"

      That's what I would say. I always give them the benefit of the doubt and say it was an oversight, even if I know it wasn't. Gives then a chance to save face....kwim?

                      Glad it worked out! happyface

                      She might have tried to pull a fast one and she might really have just not realized it...who knows, but handling it immediately and with a bit of a suggestive oversight makes it a much more comfortable situation to deal with.
