What to Charge For SA PT?

I have one SA who comes in once a week for about 4hrs. I currently charge $2.00 per hr, which may seem like nothing to most. what should I be charging?
also I will be caring for another SA but only before school for like not even a full hr, what should I be charging?:confused:

Do you charge other families hourly? I would charge by half day or full day or under 4 hours or over 4 hours. My half days are actually up to 5 hours. I don't do school age care and never want to. When school lets out I don't need more kids, I'm waiting for them to start going home! LOL.

Find your local school age rate. Here it's about $100 a week which is less than any young age. Then that breaks down to $20/day which means for full days. Before/After rates here are about half at 50-60/week and then you break it down daily. I would do $10/day for 4 hours.

I just explain that since they are taking a spot that I could fill with a full time child, that I charge a higher daily rate if they do not attend a full week.

I'd charge at least $5 per hour for a before/afterschool child.

Thank you all, it makes sense to charge more since they are taking up a spot. I will go ahead and charge more.
