Wow, the Difference a Couple Hours Makes

This week, due to some varied and bizarre circumstances, I haven't had any kids arrive until 9 AM or later...and it doesn't seem likely to change for a while yet.

O.M.G what a difference! It's just 2ish hours, but wow...I get so much done in the AM! I don't get to sleep in (boo) because DS gets up around 6:30 most mornings, but I do get to cuddle and play with just him, and I get housework and relaxing done. And when DD gets up (around 8 or 8:30 usually) I have time with just both my kids.

I'm currently daydreaming about being able to keep it this way...but that wouldn't be very likely to happen. Most people around here need care starting between 7 and 8. But for now, I'm milking the enjoyment out of every last minute!
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!

I totally know the feeling! I used to open at 7am but I don't do that anymore. 7:30 is the earliest I'll do, and even so I've been opening at 8 or 9 alot lately just due to the big turnover I've had and I LOVE it. Definitely spoiled, trying not to get too used to it.

I just termed my early drop off, and I cannot believe how much I am looking forward to having a whole extra hour and a half before any kids arrive in the morning! I allowed them to enroll (and charged extra) because I figured that I was up and dressed already, to get my big kids up for school so I thought "Why not?" My kids are pretty laid back in the morning/quiet. Not this kid!

            Enjoy your free time!

Awesome! My kids have been getting here closer to 8, rather than 7 lately and it has been very nice. I actually have time to sit with a cup of coffee and browse the internet before they get here.

I am totally not a morning person. I open at 7am but one of my new kids needed to get here at 6:45am. I didn't think 15 minutes was a huge deal, but boy was I wrong!!!!! Some mornings his g-mom drops him off around 7:30 so I get to sleep in an extra 15 minutes cause my normal 1st one doesn't get here until 7:10. The mornings I get that extra 15 minutes are life changing, I am more awake and ready to go. When he gets here at 6:45 I am dragging butt! I am totally exhausted! I have been thinking about letting dcm know that I need to changed back to 7am drop off cause this just isn't working out but I know she really needs him here that early so if I change the time I might lose him.

That's tough! My SIL also took on a child that stays later then her closing time...she feels the same way you do now...sometimes we are just too nice!
